Worldspan has long been the rumored target of acquisition by Amadeus, but the attention has now shifted to Travelport's Galileo.I have no idea either way but the searches of "Worldspan" and "Travelport" in the same search entry are one of the leading drivers of traffic to my blog. Clearly someone/people are typing that a lot into Google.

What out for the other rumor circulating right now:
Amadeus acquiring Galileo from Travelport....
Yes looks like they want to spend more money making up for a hole called ebokoers
i thought we let it go TIM?
I can't not report on Travelport activities, especially as the break up of the three units is certain to be the biggest collection of stories in 2007 and 2008. However I am trying to "let go" of the Cendant TDS (pre travelport) baggage of integration disasters, HR calamities and strategic hari-kari. Have pledged to keep my reporting on Travelport to the facts and the future.
...well...maybe not always the facts. Maybe a few rumours too.
The Beat has discussed this likelihood in articles published July 5, Nov. 14 and Nov. 21.
