Olympics. Good for China Tourism or bad. Here are two views
My own opinion is also mixed like the two sides - there are too many restructions in Beijing and the rest of China which people who live here can feel. But tourists will not necessarily notice that, and security concerns are now much more serious than even 4 years ago. In the long term, the upgrade to Beijing's infrastructure means a much more accesible city better suited to receive tourists in future. As a gateway to China, this is quite important. Roy Graff
